From the port of St Malo, the journey will only take you 2 hours and just 2.5 hours from Caen (Ouistreham). Craon offers all you need with many restaurants, bars and a large supermarket.
Set in 8 acres of meadow, the lake is damned at one end and fed by many underground springs. An area of lilies in the middle of the lake, iris reeds on the far bank and the wide variety of trees that line the lake provide an attractive environment whilst fishing.
The old stone-built longere, sleeps six, and has been renovated to a very high standard. The accommodation is all on the ground floor and is fully furnished. Leading off the main entrance hall are three bedrooms (one double with en-suite and two twin bedrooms) and a bathroom. The large kitchen/dining area has patio doors leading out onto a decked area that looks out over the lake. There is a full size pool table in the main living area, satellite TV and a hi-fi system along with a large selection of books, puzzles and games to keep the rest of the family occupied. The whole house is centrally heated. The garden furniture allows you to relax at the end of the day with a barbeque. |
