Location

Les Croix lies in the Charente Region of South West France, the second sunniest Region of France after the Mediterranean coast. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by woodland and green fields. Tranquil and scenic,this is the perfect venue for families, 25 minutes west of Limoges airport or a comfortable 6.5 hour drive from Calais.
The town of St.Junien is 12 minutes by car on excellent quiet roads, hosting 5 large supermarkets and all other facilities. There are several excellent restaurants within 30 minutes drive of the lake and plenty to see and do in the local area.
English owners Jon and Sophie live on site and look forward to welcoming you and will endeavour to make your stay both enjoyable and memorable. Jon has 25 years of carp fishing experience and is always on hand to give advice.


FLY-DRIVE OPTION
Les Croix offer a fly-drive option with airport pickup, full set up of Nash Tackle gear, and supermarket trips included in the price. Home prepared meals, breakfast, lunch and evening meals are also available on demand should you wish to take a break from cooking.

Lake Summary

Size: 3.6 Acres
Swims: Fishing from 2 banks, no set swims, natural, flat grassy banks.
Depth: 10 feet at the dam gently shelving to 4 feet at the inlet. Deep and shallow margins.
Bed: Firm clay/sand/gravel mixture with an area of shallow silt in the centre.

Carp stock: Approx 150 fish, mirrors including fully scaled and linear, leathers and commons. Biggest fish 40lb+
Other Fish: Few grass carp 20lb +. One catfish 40lb+. Quality roach and rudd.

fully equipped lakeside gite with outside terrace, swimming pool, large flat grassed bank suitable for childrens’ play area.
