We were fishing the bench swim casting towards overhanging willows to my left. Bait used was 18mm premier matrix boilies soaked in my own shrimp paste dip, used
12lb nylon hook length with size six barblees raptor hook. took around 1
1/2 hours to land mainly because it got itself nicely wrapped around iron girder to my left, needed the boat to get myself back on the right side of girder to land it.
in my party of three ( although 5 were on that week ) I had another cat of 40 lb also 7 carp to 27 1/4 . All told between the three of us we landed 27
carp 3x30s to 34 lb other than two 19 pounders the rest were 20 "s
