The lake is looking wonderful. The causeway over the lake has now been completed and the pier which provides an eating out area plus a double swim, is now also finished. The water temp is currently 14.5 degrees.
The first week (w/c 27 March) got off to a very good start - 2x50+, best fish going just over 52lb, 6x40s, 17x30s and 18x20s and 12xdoubles, all carp of course, as well as 18 cats - 2x100+, 1x70, 1x50 and the rest between 20 and 30. All in all approximately 2000lb of fish were caught.
The following week we had 1x40, 18x30s, 26x20s, 22xdoubles and six catfish – 2x100+ best of which was 102lb, with the rest weighing in at 90,60,40. The first grass carp of the year weighed in at 18lb8oz. One of the anglers had over 1000lb of fish.
