Fishery owner Matt Collins has just take this stunning fully scaled mirror on a solid PVA bag cast to the end of a gravel bar. The fish was part of a three fish haul taken during a 24 hr session.
We have just had a cancellation for the week starting 2nd June 2012. This is a rare opportunity to secure this prime week as all other weeks (except October) are already sold. Please contact CF directly if this is of interest.
Fishery owner Matt Collins took another nice mirror of 28.5lb on his 2nd trip of 2012. The mild January weather has meant the fish are already on the munch. This bodes well for fish growth rates this year as winter feed quanties can be increased.
Lake owner, Matt Collins managed to sneak out the lake's largest resident carp whilst on a quick overnighter. The howling winds and lashing rain really stirred the fish into action and he took 5 fish in under 24 hrs. The final fish of the session turned out to be Grey Scar at 46lb! Not a bad start to 2012!!
Previous lake owner Howard popped down for a quick over nighter this month and scored well with three fish to 33lb 4oz. All fish came from one overhanging fir tree down the back channel. The Cell based snowman baits were dropped under it using a microcat with a sprinkling of house pellet. Good angling!
Jan broke the lake record for common carp last week. The previously stood at 33lb 1oz, a fished originally named, "The Big Common". The record now stands at 33lb 8oz and goes to a fish named "Nicky" who's previous best weight was 31lb. Congratulations to Jan for the capture of this very special fish!
Bart and Jan drove all the way from Holland to holiday and fish at Beausoleil. They had an amazing time and were really blown away by the venue. Jan (the father of Bart), had two diffrent 30lb common carp to 33lb 8oz and Bart had 3 different 30lb mirrors to 37lb 15oz. They fished well and were justly rewarded. Well done guys!
After a slow start due to the unseasonally good weather conditions, they changed favourabley and our Dutch clients managed to take 18 fish in total with 3 x 30's. That's a great result considering the experience of the guys and the amount of angling pressure these fish has seen all season. Good angling!
Callum has patiently waited for two years to fish Beausoleil.....with only one goal in mind.... a 60lb plus cat. At 6.40pm on Tuesday evening he found himself connected with the 4th largest cat to be caught this year. It was an epic battle and tested his cut down 3.25lb TC infinities to the max. On the scales it went 90lb and beat his previous PB by some 30lb. Needless to say Callum was over the moon. Good angling!
Last week Brothers Peter and Stephen gave a master class on how to fish Beausoleil. Taking 28 fish total with 6 cats to 82lb and 21 carp incluing 8 x 30's to 35.5lb. The experienced pair have been to a number of different venues over the years and this is their best result ever. It's also one of the best results for the fishery this year!
During a week at Beausoleil Colin managed to break his cat PB four times in two days when he took cats of 32, 53, 61 and then 68lb! A fantastic result considering he never fished a night. Good angling!
We are delighted to offer an end of season holiday treat! Any week in October 2011 is now available at the discounted price of £950.00. The fish will seriously be on the munch during October and it is a great month to capture a few of our beautiful residents. We look forward to hearing from you and will be operating a strict first come first served policy. Regards, Matt & Ren.
This cat along with two other biggies at 88.5lb and 77.5lb were part of a 17 fish tally taken by Mark and Martin who fished afternoons and evenings only for 9 days or so. Despite taking two carp of 29lb the majic 30 didn't happen this week. Still, when you take your cat PB from 37lb to 93.5lb you can't be too disapointed!
On Marks first visit to the fishery he's smashed his PB by 51.5lb. During the fishery tour he explained that he was here to break his catfish PB of 37lb and said that he'd be happy with a 40lb! Its an awesome result for Mark who's fished part days only. He's also taken 4 other fish to 28lb and it's only Tuesday, top angling!
Due to a change in schedule the week commencing 1st October is now available. This is a rare opportunity to book this prime angling week so late in the season so don't delay.
Congratulations to Dave with the best fish of the week, "Lippy" at 37lb. This is one of the best looking fish at the fishery and its only the 2nd time this year that it's been banked. It was previously taken by Matt the lake owner at 36lb. The fish fell to a single 20mm D-liver presented next to a marginal bush over a handful of house pellet and a dozen freebies. Good angling!
Congratulations to Lewis Bower who took this 92 lb cat last week. Fish was caught on double 20mm D-liver over a scattering on Freebies and plenty of the house pellet.
Yesterday on his third trip to the fishery Lewis caught the 2nd 90lb + cat to be taken this year this year at 92lb. This is just 3lb short of the lake record at cat 95lb. Needless to say he was over the moon. Other fish this week have inclued mirrors of 35lb and 44lb.
Congratulations to Lewis and Holly who are honeymooning this week with other members of the wedding party at the fishery! The weather is spot on for carping with south westerlies and showers. Hope the lads don't get carried away with the fishing and forget to take the new Bride out on a day trip or two!
Ted (right) is used to targeting slightly smaller species of roach and bream back home but took to cat fishing like a duck to water. Pictured here with his son Paul (left) with a massive 71lb cat. Needless to say it was a fish a lifetime and he could stop smiling!
Just got the first emailed pic through of "Grey Scar" at 50lb. Taken on Banksides Tackles double 20mm D-liver over a scaterring of freebies on the first night. Simon took 15 fish total including two 40's and two upper 30's. Top angling, especially when you consider he only fished two nights out of seven!
Just got back from the lake after a text from Simon reporting the capture of a 49lb mirror. After double checking the weighing equipment I can confirm that the fish weighed a minimum of 50lb!!!!!!!!!! The fish was taken on double D-Liver off the island tree over a scattering of baits within hours of arrival. The fish was taken the week before at a reported weight of 46lb 4oz. This fish has now been named as "Grey Scar".
George Lee junior landed an 85lb cat in broad daylight today while I was doing my end of week visit. This is the largest fish I've ever had the privilege to witness first hand. George also took an 84lber the day before (his previous PB). Well done mate, I know you've worked really hard at your angling this week. Congratulations!
George Lee has just raised the bar again by taking the lake record for mirror carp to 46lb 4oz; this fish was caught just last month by Jon Bews at 44lb 4oz. Congratulations mate, what a result!
Congratulations to Martin who took his first ever catfish last week at 72 and 74lb. Martin was delighted with the result and vowed to return to try for one of the lakes larger residents. Current lake record is 95lb with multiple 80+ fish coming out this year aswell.
Tim Finch, brother of Jon Finch (Avid Carp) visited the fishery recently and had this to say: Beausoleil is an awesome place. Well done to you and irene, keep up the good work and I look forward to returning soon! Tim had fish to 36lb.
Congratulatuions to Ian for his capture of the new lake record common at 33lb 1oz. Taken on Bankside tackle double 20mm D-liver.
Congratulations to Jon bews for the capture of this awesome fish taken on Banksides Dairy cream pop in a solid PVA bag.
Due to a cancellation we have the week of the 25th June 2011 available at a special rate of £950.00 for the week, 4 anglers max.
Jon Bews has broken the Beausoleil carp record with a 44lb 4oz specimen mirror. The previous record stood at 43lb 8oz and photos confirm that this is not the same fish. This is the 2nd lake record to be broken this year as a 95lb catfish was taken during the 2nd week of April (previously this record was 88lb).
We have now installed a full UK sized tournament grade free play pool table in an ajoining room to the main house and opened up a previously unused utilty, shower room and toilet giving this exceptionally well equipped fishery even more for you to enjoy.
Congratulations to Chris Goodman for the capture of a 95lb Catfish that was taken on double 20mm D-liver boilies during the first week of the 2011 season. This fish came out last year at 88lb and is destined to break the 100lb barrier this year!
