Good morning mark and Pam . Missing the place already the fishing was amazing in total i had 5 diffrent carp in the 20lb mark , 1 32.12 mirror and stergion same fish several times we were on first name terms by the end of the week . gr8 fun . i also had the privelidge of naming a fish after my daughter ELLA a 24.03 mirror whitnesd by mark i will send the picture over of the mirror and of my new pb the 32.12. Mark cut a snag out for me whilst i was fishing there are not many owners who would do this ,also mark provided a keep net and removed a few small fish we caught to his stock pond again this is a honest man as i whitnesd him remove the fish to his stock pond ,some people say things but mark and pam actually do them !! Mark and pam are top class hosts 10/10.Will recomend to any one the facilites were fault less. the red wine was very nice too. see you soon when i come back for the fridge !!!!!. 3rd year and well impressed with all of Marks hard work over the winter, the place is fab15,16,18,21, 24lb mirrors Yet another fab holiday and roll on next year,thank you pam and mark your great host and we couldnt ask for more,see you June 2012.

"Were both from St Ives in Cornwall and the fishing there is sparse so we booked a holiday at Huntersretreat and what a blinder we had i had plenty of doubles bigest being 26lb then caught a whoping 38.8 common smashing my PB also caught a Stugeon which is something i alawys wanted to catch. Paul caught loads of doubles 2,superb 30,s and 42lb beauty the lake is Beautiful,saw the kingfisher,and deer drinking from the lake will definatly be back,this place is to good to be true. Thanks Pam and Mark we had a blst and its been a memorable one." (Yukes and Paul - May 2010)

Hunters Retreat is perfect for everyone and Pam & Mark are such great hosts and will do anything to help and make your stay so plesant. This was our second year and we have already booked for our 3rd next year.

Had 4 sturgeon from 16lb to 18lb, 5 x 20lb+ carp, a and 36lb

Larger boillies if you want a big one, stops the smaller carp whittling it down, tried it on the last night and thats when we got the 36 lb er

'Rosita' was caught both times near the trees on the far side of the lake from the main swim.

This is an excellent site providing the info you need
General comments
A great location, about 10 mins from Chateaubriant with big supermarkets, shops etc. The static caravan and lake are in the middle of the countryside, with a locked gate so you're in your own little haven. The fishing has been excellent both times we have been there.
