5 fish, - 15, 16, 23, 34 and 56lb -the 56 was my personal best (by over 20lb)
What did you find were the best tactics/baits?
We used Cell and New Grange. The lakes own baits "Ralph's baits" seemed to be the most successfull (2 x 60s came out our week both to these)
Were the facilities what you expected?
Excellent - lake owner was always helpful but never intrusive. Food package was well worth the money

yes - a fine week

General comments
We booked very late, looking for somewhere that was not very busy -we were interested in the potential of big carp as opposed to many. The venue gave us exactly that and quite a few unbroken nights sleep. Would always like to catch more enjoyed our week immensely.

Slightly slow due to the weather conditions (hot and sunny) 9/10 x 40lb+ fish, lots of 30s and 20s topped of by a stunning fish known as the long Common at over 57lb well done to Elvsy for tempting her. ( although lucky in my opinion)
What did you find were the best tactics/baits?
Plenty of boilies scattered in the area, single hookbaits topped with a bit of colour but stay away from the usual yellow the Pike love em, the lads used particle but again this brought in the silver fish which in turn brought along the Pike and they do smash you up. Look for showing fish and drop one on its head especially in the mornings before brecky.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Far exceeded our expectations, the showers are immaculate, the lodge is quality, the swims are the cleanest we have seen, very impressive, Mark and Claire live there and it shows there back garden is stunning.

General comments
Superb fascilities the best we have seen ( and we have been every where), the food was second to none, Claire and Mark run a top fishery, though the Cockney cowboy can give it some, cheers Mark and Claire for a great holiday. See ya both soon.

Best tatics was beds of partical and boilies fished with boilie hook baits

The facilities were excellent everything you needed to have a good fishing break

Etang le fays is like a little bit of England in the depth's of France. The owners are extreamley friendly and the food was great.

MAIZE!! It wasn't happening with boilies so baited up with Maize and fished over the top with Maize and plastic sweetcorn.
