St. Leonard’s carp lakes are two beautifully matured lakes set in their own 23 acres of private surroundings. We are situated between the pretty village of Ranes and the larger town of La Ferte Mace which holds a market every Thursday and has a variety of supermarkets and local produce shops. The region is especially beautiful and is included in the Normandy National Park area that has its own large forests with designated trails and traditional French towns to visit. It is an ideal destination for your Carp fishing holiday in France.

The main lake is 10 acres and will accommodate six anglers comfortably. This lake has been stocked every year with carp since we arrived in 2006. There is now over 200 carp in this lake with best carp weight standing at 62lbs. There is a large head of 30s and 40s including both commons and mirrors. There is also an original stock of grass carp, that have gained weight each year, with weights now to 30lb+. This lake will be stocked again for the 2012 season.

Two separate swims, with their own undercover seating area, that offer quiet, close-in fishing along with the possibility of easy casting distance and baiting up.

We supply all nets, mats and weigh slings to anglers so there is no need to bring your own. You can also charge bait boats, mobiles etc on site securely. Internet access is now available for wireless enabled devices in the cafe area.

St. Leonard’s offers everything that anglers need to enjoy a comfortable break away in a beautiful and diverse area of France. We are also in easy travelling distance from all the major ports.

Aswell as the usual Saturday to Saturday holiday. St Leonards Carp Lakes also offer short break either Friday to Monday, or Monday to Friday. Please enquire for futher details.

The Main Lake

The main lake is easily accessible from the on-site parking and it is also possible to leave your car behind your swim when you fish the main bank. For those anglers who prefer to come without booking accomodation there is a purpose built shower and toilet block on site within easy access from the lake. We also have a licensed café that serves hot and cold food throughout the day and a meal package if you wish. Around the lake are two undercover seating areas to make your stay more comfortable and also a large picnic table situated at the designated double swim.

The main fishing bank runs along the full length of the main lake offering excellent features to fish to and easy markers. For people choosing not to bring a bait boat you can access the opposite bank easily and bait up from this side. There is a double swim on the main bank . The Back Lake


New for 2012 at st. Leonard's is the opening of the back lake as an exclusive water with log cabin accommodation for 2 anglers. This beautiful two acre lake is set on the same complex as st. Leonard's main lake and can be accessed easily and with your car if you wish. It is in its own lovely surroundings and has fish-able bank on three sides and offers anglers the option of easy casting and baiting up but is also a great bait boat water if preferred.

The log cabin accommodation has two single beds and a kitchenette including a fridge/freezer and a microwave. It also has its own attached undercover seating area outside.All other facilities on the complex are on offer for you to use such as the shower/toilet block and the licensed café.Wireless Internet access is available in the cafe area.

Along with an original stock of carp there has been a stocking of catfish to 66lbs in 2011. For the 2012 season there will also be another stocking of carp, including mirrors and commons, to the 35lb+ mark.

This lake is perfect for those who wish to come to France without necessarily being in group. It offers anglers the chance to fish in privacy with all the benefits of accommodation and the facilities offered on the complex.
 

For the bivvy only angler, there are good shower and toilet facilities and power for charging batteries. There is also an on-site Cafe for those wanting a food option along with the traditional Food Packages available.

We also have a seperate on site cafe menu listed below if you do not require a food package.

For those who wish to self cater there are variety of supermarkets and local shops to choose from, within 10 minutes of the lakes.
