The lake was acquired 3 and half years ago. It is situated in a rural part of Brittany, 1 and a half hours from Caen or st Malo.

The lake is 2.5 acres and has a six acre wood at the rear, it is surrounded on the other 3 sides by farmland. 
In the first two years the lake was stocked with 115 carp, mirrors and common, ranging from 15lb to 40lb. The lake record now stands at 48lbs.

The lake can accommodate 3 anglers comfortably. Additionally there is a comfortable 3 bed mobile home and also a separate shower and toilet block, with fridge freezer. 

The Local Area:
The lake is situated 5 miles from the medieval town of Fougeres, which has plenty of supermarkets and restaurants. Also a market on Saturday mornings. In the other direction about 10 miles, is Vitre another medieval town with a lovely old chateau, and lovely old buildings. Also lots of restaurants here. From Vitre you can get the TVR to Paris.


It is also possible to book the lake exclusively without the mobile home, but with full use of the toilets and showers on-site, for a reduced price of £650.

The lake is 2.5 acres with a clay bottom. The average depth is 3-5 ft, with overhanging bushes and trees on 3 sides. The lake has level grass banks, and you can walk around the whole lake. Anglers tend to fish on the bank nearest the mobile; this gives scope to cover the whole lake. The fish tend to hold up tight to the banks, and under the gorse.

There are a mixture of commons and mirrors with the lake record standing at 48lbs, a few koi , a couple of pike and a small catfish. Also crucian carp up to 5lbs and plenty of roach and Rudd to keep the kids happy.

They have been fed regularly on pellet and senses probiotic red, which we have found to be a really fast weight gaining boilie. 
 

There is a comfortable 3 bed mobile home where you will find 1 double bedroom and two bedrooms each with 2 single beds, these can be pushed together to make double beds. There is a fully equipped kitchen with hob oven and grill. There is also a gas BBQ outside. There is a separate toilet, and also a shower room. There is a large TV with satellite in the lounge.

Duvets and pillows are supplied, but please bring your own covers sheets pillowcases, and also towels etc.

For those not needing the mobile and wish to to use bivvies, there is a separate shower wash basin and toilet block.

There is no mains electricity or water on site. The electricity is supplied by generator, which is easily turned on by a switch inside the mobile and solar panels (New for 2012). The water is pumped from the well, which is fine for washing etc, but do not recommend it to drink. We advise to take bottled water for this. The plugs in the mobile and outside are English, which makes it easy for charging phones boats etc.
