Happy Valley is a 1 1/4 acre lake situated between the ancient Brittany town of “FOUGERES” and the market town of ERNEE. Both towns have excellent facilites including restaurants, bars, café’s, supermarkets and swimming pools. Saint Malo is only an hour away. Caen is an easy 2 hour drive via the “Toll Free” A84 AUTOROUTE. LE HAVRE and CHERBOURG are about 2 hours and 30 mins and BOULOGNE 4 hours and 30 mins.  There is also a very good quality 2 bedroom mobile home.

The owners live nearby and are always available for help and advice.

Happy Valley was created in 1976 from granite workings. It is, as its name suggests, situated in a private valley with a trout river running around the boundary. The wildlife is abundant. Birds of prey soar over the valley, deer, hares, and kingfishers are often seen as are red squirrels rare now in England. There is a lake side barbeque for picnics. The deepest part of the lake is 7 to 8 ft shallowing to 2-3 Ft in the margins. The lake bed has silt patches and hard bottom and no snags. 

We have stocked over 100 mirrors & commons to over 40lbs with the lake record standing at 47lbs.(not been out since October 2008) Also present are some of the original “Wildies”.

Fresh frozen boilies 5 kilos €40.00 By the kilo €10.00.

Boilies have become very expensive in France so we suggest you buy your favourite in UK or use ours..
