Carp France - The Fishing Holiday Specialists

Set in a very rural location, Genesis Carp Lake  is situated in the lower part of Normandy, in the region of Orne. Just 10 minutes away is the town of Pre en Pail which hosts many shops such as Super U (supermarket),  Garages, Tabacs, Chemist, Bakers, Bars and Restaurants. 

The drive from Calais is approximately 4.5 hours, Le Harve is 2.5hrs, Caen 1.5hr, Ouistreham 1.75hrs and Cherbourg is 2.75hrs.

As well as Carp we have Roach, Tench, Rudd, Crucian Carp, Pike, Perch and possibly the odd Bream (but we dont talk about them!)

• Tree lined 12 acre lake situated in 15 acres, over hanging trees and bushes with silty to gravel lake bed and a depth of around 5Ft.
• All fenced and secure 
• Dining room over looking the lake , centrally heated with TV / DVD and Video, fridge and freezer for food and bait  ,  plug points for chargers etc.
• Shower Block with two showers toilets and hand basins , centrally heated and open 24/7
• Bait boats are allowed
• No pets
• No children under 14 yrs
• Swims 1, 2 and 5 are accessible by car   3 and 4 tackle transported  by tractor and trailer
• All cars returned to car park after unloading
   

We purchased our lake back in early 2008  and after thinking of many names  we eventually arrived at Genesis, (we thought Lac la Chaussee  was a bit much) . The meaning of Genesis is "the new beginning" and thats exactly what it is for us both. We have 12 acres of lake surrounded by 3 acres of land, many trees adorn the waters edge along with rushes and reeds. The swims are situated around the lake so as to give it's own space of water and not in conflict with other anglers lines.  There are 5 double swims with 2 singles adjacent to them for the social aspect, so with a maximum of only 6 anglers, provides plenty of room. 

The average depth is 1.8 metres (around 5 ft) with silt and gravel bottom,  the odd deeper holes are  there to be found, many over hanging bushes and trees provide shelter for the carp so always worth one in the margins.

At Genesis we have thought of it as if we were the visiting anglers and what we would like to find. Providing two spacious,clean and modern  shower cubicles with basins and toilets, centrally heated  open 24/7.

If you have selected meals  or just need  a rest  from fishing (it happens) our dining area is bright and warm,  seats 6 anglers comfortably with television /dvd and video players for your enjoyment . There is a double sink for washing up,  micro wave and kettle ,  we have also provided 6 security boxes  with keys and  plug sockets for  charging your mobile phone or camera. Maybe just to keep your car keys/passport etc nice and safe .(wish I had a fiver for every time I'd packed my keys away  when packing up) Last but not least ,we have installed a fridge and freezer for your bait and  food . We do a shopping run on Mondays and Thurdays for items such as   eggs. milk , bread  etc.

The  food package we serve consists of a full English breakfast  ie,  eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes or beans with toast ,orange juice, tea or coffee. If that doesn't keep you going throughout the day , snacks are available such as filled baguettes or burgers.

Our two course evening meals  will fill  the biggest appetite with freshly cooked local produce and scrumptious desserts to make your mouth water. All served with a cold beer or wine of your choice.  You can enjoy your meals in  the dining room or outside at the picnic table overlooking the lake .

We can accommodate all dietry needs ,likes or dislikes, all you need do is ask.
