Situated in the beautiful South West area of Correze. Birch Pool is one of our more sotherly locations where it benefits from a fantastic climate throughout the season. Perfect for fly/drive or self drive anglers and their families, just ½ hour from Limoges airport with flights from Stansted, Southampton, East Midlands or Liverpool airports (Plus others).

Transfers are included in the fly/drive package to take the hassle out of getting to the venue. Many people still opt to drive, where you will find it is a comfortable 7 hour drive from Calais or 5 hours from Caen.

Birch Pool Retreat is a beautiful 3 acre exclusive hire lake. Nestling in a valley, tree lined and totally secure and private it is ideal for families, couples and you can even bring your dog with you. In 2004 the lake was stocked with 650kgs of Carp between the weights of 7kgs and 18kgs with an additional 400 - 500kgs of the same size to be stocked towards the end of this year. With the expected growth rate to very high, it's makes for superb fishing! There is also specimen Perch and roach. The lake is fully accessible and has an island, over hanging trees and a few other interesting features. The depths range from 2ft to 12 ft and it has a firm sandy bottom

Bivvies, rods, bedchairs, scales, weighsling, landing nets, rodpods and unhooking mats are available at no extra cost. Bait can also be supplied at more than reasonable prices.

The lakeside lodge has a double bedroom and a bedroom with single bunkbeds and there is a double bed settee in the lounge area, the kitchen area is equipped with everything you need and there is a full size cooker and a fridge to keep your beers and wine cool. The bathroom is fitted with a toilet, shower and sink.

The fenced patio area has two tables and seating for upto 8 people and a large barbeque for cooking al fesco.

Many of our guests are lucky to see some spectacular wildlife at the lake including many species of Birds of Prey, Red Squirrels and Red & Roe Deer, some of our quieter guests have even spotted a wild boar!

Birch Pool Retreat offer a fly-drive option with airport pickup from Limoges Airport, full set up of Nash Tackle gear, and supermarket trips included in the price. Home prepared meals, breakfast, lunch and evening meals are also available on demand should you wish to take a break from cooking.

Driving time from nearest port: 5 hours from Caen or Le Havre.
