The Firs is a 2.5 acre lake situated in Ruille le Gravlais, 15 minutes from Laval. The excellent motorway links make it very accessible from the ferry ports of St Malo, 1½ hours, Calais, 4.5 hours and Caen, 2 ½ hours. In the adjoining village of Loiron there is a bar, restaurant, pharmacy and small supermarket.

Along with exclusive use of the lake comes a superb 3 bedroom house which is no more than 30 feet from the waters edge, and the first swim! Both Carp and Catfish are present with the lake record carp standing at just over 45lbs. The Cats aren't small either weighing in at over 60lbs.

The 2.5 acre lake is complete with its own island and fed by a small stream running alongside. It is set within a mature garden of beautiful plants and trees. The whole area is surrounded by established laurel bushes and fir trees, giving you total privacy.

accommodation

The 3 bedroom bankside house (1 double and 2 singles) enjoys a south facing aspect. There is a patio area directly facing the lake and a BBQ adjacent to the large dining room. The galley style kitchen is complete with all mod cons. There is a decked patio area leading out to the back garden with children’s swings. To the front of the house there is a comfortable sitting room with traditional Breton fireplace and French doors leading to the patio and lake.
 
Downstairs the living rooms provide ample sofa seating, English Sky TV, a games room and other ameneties for the family to enjoy.

bait available

The Firs can now provide shelf life boilies and particles, these MUST be pre-ordered if you require them.
They have used Nutrabaits “Trigga” for several years now and found it to be excellent bait, especially when it comes to putting the bigger fish on the bank. They are now stocking some Dynamite products, including the ever-popular “Source” and “Monster Tiger Nut“ boilies. We would recommend 5kgs+ of boilies per angler per week, and 10kgs+ of pellet/particle per angler.  
 
All “dry” particles can be cooked on site in our particle boiler.
