Etang Rendezvous - w/c 22 June 2013

Air temperature averaged 23c this week with light winds from northwest, sun and some light rain. Water temperature 21c. A grand total 3,891lb of fish were caught this week which comprised the following: Carp - the best catch of the week weighed in at 44lb 3oz and the rest came in as followings; under 15lb x 17, 8x15lb+, 28x20lb+, 31x25lb+, 12x30lb+, 5x35lb+ and 3x40lb+ Catfish - NEW LAKE RECORD OF 119lb 13oz, the rest came in at 96lb+, 84lb+, 74lb+, 2x73lb+, 69lb+, 68lb+, 67lb+, 61lb+, 60lb+, 58lb+, 2x57lb+, 52lb+, 40lb+, 18lb+, 17lb+ and 15lb+ Grass Carp - 20lb 4oz All fish under 17lb removed to stock lake.

Etang Tissier - Back again !

What a week ! Maurice , Danny Molenaar , Jeffery Overeem , Rene van Dijk and Jeroen Koetze 94 fish!! best cat 56lb best carp 36lb 33 fish over 29lb ! .

Etang Rendezvous - w/c 8 June 2013

It was sunny and hot all week with air temperatures reaching 30c and water temperatures of 25.5c, until Friday and then it rained for 24 hours which caused the water temperature to drop to 21.5c.

That said the boys had a smashing week. Total weight of fish caught came in at a massive 4,542lb - the 2nd highest ever weekly catch in the history of the lake. Out of this total 1,968lb was caught by just one person, Keith Hunt.

The catches comprised the following:


Carp - the best of the week weighed in at 46lb 8oz, and the rest were 7x15lb+ 30x20lb+, 30x25lb+, 24x30lb+, 16x35lb+, 10x40lb+ and 3x45lb+

Grass Carp - 1x20lb+

Cats - the best catch of the week came in at 108lb+, and the rest were 8lb+, 20lb+, 25lb+, 32lb+, 40lb+, 50lb+, 66lb+, 2x70lb+, 76lb+, 85lb+, 90lb+, 98lb+, 102lb+ and 106lb+

Etang Rendezvous - w/c 1 June 2013

The weather improved greatly this week with air temperatures peaking at 30c and water temperature rising from 15c to 25c.

The guys on the lake this week didn't fish nights at all and two fished for cats only but they managed to catch a grand total of fish weighing in at 2,541lb+, comprising the following:

Carp - another great fish weighing in at 61lb was the best of the catch this week, and the rest were 5x15kb+, 12x20lb+, 14x25lb+, 15x30lb+, 5x35lb+ and 6x40lb+.

Cats - the best of the week came in at 98lb, and the rest were 3x10lb+, 4x20lb+, 2x30lb+, 3x40lb+, 1x50lb+, 1x60lb+ and 3x70lb+.

In addition, there were 10 x small jackpike.

Etang Rendezvous - w/c 25 May 2013

Weather this week was very wet with a NW wind and temperatures of between 14c-16c and a water temperature of 15c. Because of the wet weather the lake has filled up to the brim and water is going out over the sluice. Despite all of this a grand total of 2,256lb of fish were caught comprising of the following: Carp - best catch of the week was a lovely 60lb4oz common: this fish is a totally different one from the lake record, and the rest were 6x15lb+, 9x20lb+, 18x25lb+, 11x30lb+, 11x35lb+, 5x40lb+ 2x45lb+ plus 13 under 10lb. Cats - 75lb+, 68lb+, 65lb+, 62lb+ and 35lb+.

65 fish banked and 18 lost between 5 anglers whose week ended on Saturday 1 June: 5 x doubles, 32 x 20's, 9 x 30's, 14 x 35+ and 5 x 40's. Fish of the week 44lb Common.
